The City of Pasadena, the Pasadena Unified School District, and a number of non-profit agencies providing after school programs convened The Partnership for School-Age Childcare (The Partnership) in 1989. It grew out of the work of the City’s Commission on Children and Youth, and the Child Care Project.
Over 35 participating partners working with Pasadena families.
The Partnership broadened its mission in 2003 to more fully address the needs of children and youth from ages 0 – 18 and changed their name to the Partnership for Children, Youth and Families.
The unique strength of The Partnership is that it works as a coalition of non-profit and public agencies. The Partnership is NOT a 501c3 and does not compete with other agencies for funding.
